PLOT
Several years after the events of the Deathly Hallows, Harry Potter now has a son named Albus Severus Potter. His son went on to attend his former school, Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Albus ends up being sorted into Slytherin, a house that rivaled Gryffindor, Harry’s house when he was a student. Albus becomes friends with Scorpius Malfoy, the son of Harry’s arch rival Draco Malfoy. Over the years, both boys are profusely bullied by their classmates and Albus feels like he won’t be able to live up to his famous father. THEATRICAL SUCCESS
The play premiered in London on July 20, 2016. The play was regarded as a historic theatrical success with approximately 1.8 million tickets in sales across 2,700 performances. The play was praised for its stagecraft and totally engaging storyline. The play has translated the magic of the Harry Potter films into the stage.
