Sleighin’ It this fall is the nine-man acapella powerhouse Straight No Chaser. The group drops by over 50 cities and will be belting out countless staples. The professional singing group is now on its way to their third decade in the circuit. Emerging in 1996, the group, which originated as a student effort at Indiana University, was just too remarkable just to continue performing and competing in sing-offs. Soon, the group started recording and touring professionally; the rest was history. Another key to their success was the group’s penchant for going viral. One of their most iconic songs, covers of Toto’s “Africa” and “I Have a Littel Dreigel,” were uploaded on YouTube. The videos received millions of views, which eventually led to Atlantic Records CEO Craig Kallman signing Straight No Chaser to an incredible record deal.
Since their amazing breakthrough, Straight No Chaser has become the top vocal group in North America. Now comprising of nine members, the group performs rearranged covers, mash-ups, holiday favorites, and more.
The group is most busy during the fall and winter seasons.
