Grammy Award-winning troubadour Ray LaMontagne comes to Eccles Theater on Tuesday 12th November 2019 as part of the very special acoustic leg of his Just Passing Through Tour! The tour will feature an intimate, stripped-down set from LaMontagne, accompanied by Carl Broemel from My Morning Jacket, and support from Canadian folk duo Kacy & Clayton! This back-to-basics format gives fans the opportunity to lean in to the essence of LaMontagne's music in a way that touches the very heart of his songs!
American singer-songwriter and musician Ray LaMontagne began his music career in 1999, when he was inspired to quit his job to pursue a career in the industry upon hearing a Stephen Stills track on the radio one morning. That year, he released a ten-track demo and began regularly performing shows both locally and nationally. In 2004, LaMontagne released his debut album Trouble, which was certified gold in the US and platinum in the UK, and eventually reached the Top Five of the UK charts in 2006. Over the years, he has released seven studio albums to both critical and commercial success – his third studio album, Gossip in the Grain (2008) is his highest charting album, debuting at number three on the Billboard 200 and his fourth studio album God Willin' & the Creek Don't Rise (2011) won a Grammy Award for Best Contemporary Folk Album. His most recent release is 2018's Part of the Light.
