From his humble beginnings as a trumpet player and an arranger for a local TV station, Kurt Bestor worked his way to become one of the most sought-after musicians in the industry today. Over the years, he became an in-demand composer and a highly-skilled keyboardist. For more than four decades in the industry, Bestor has produced music for movies and other media. He was the musical scorer behind successful productions like 1987's "The Magdeburg Affair" and the 1988 Winter Olympics, for which he won an Emmy.
As the years passed, Kurt Bestor's name has been commonly associated with Christmas songs. This is after his successful Christmas album, "An Airus Christmas Volume 1," became a massive success. He dominated the 90s with many holiday soundtracks and original projects, including "Noel," "The Ghosts of Dickens' Past," "Sketches," and "The Dance." His debut Christmas album also gave birth to his Christmas show, which became a yearly tradition since 1987.
This year marks the 35th anniversary of the Emmy-winning and Grammy-nominated composer's concert.
