American comedian, actor, director, cartoonist and musician Demetri Martin came to fame in 2001 on Comedy Central's stand-up showcase Premium Blend. A writer for Late Night with Conan O'Brien and contributor for The Daily Show, Martin has also recorded several stand-up comedy specials and in 2009 he hosted and starred in his own Comedy Central television show called Important Things With Demetri Martin. Martin also starred in Ang Lee's 2009 comedy drama film Taking Woodstock, and in 2011, he released his first book, titled This Is a Book. He also voices Ice Bear in the Cartoon Network series We Bare Bears, and wrote, directed, edited, and starred in the 2016 film Dean. In 2018, Netflix syndicated the comedy special Demetri Martin: The Overthinker.
