The best who-done-it board game now has a live performance, and if you were a enthusiast of playing Clue with loved ones, this performance is not only going to be fun and exciting, but it's going to evoke a sense of warm familiarity that is sure to warm your heart. As you would imagine from a play based on a board game with varied conclusions, this performance also has different ways that it can go. Even if you saw Clue - Live On Stage at previous venues, this performance here in Salt Lake City, Utah could be entirely fresh.
Trying to create a storyline based on a board game isn't the simplest thing to do. One of the initial successes that the playwrights got right, though, is including some of the characters from the game as well as the iconic scenes where the murder might have happened. Apologies for dropping hints with spoilers, but then again, if you're checking out this performance, there's a strong likelihood you're familiar with the concept behind Clue, the board game! Not only do the stars from the game take the stage, but so do their costumes from the source material. The production team has made slight tweaks with costume design, but there is an attempt to keep it true to the source material. It's not like you're going to be wondering who Colonel Mustard is when he takes the stage!
There's always a sweet spot when it comes to the ideal seats for a theater show. Usually Clue - Live On Stage is very close to the audience, and they're looking for a sense of crowd engagement, and that could mean that sitting close to the stage is more engaging than it is for other plays. Still, the drawback with the front rows of the theater is that you miss the broader scope of the stage, which you're going to require to follow the hints a lot better! Find a spot in the middle of George S. and Dolores Dore Eccles Theater, further away from the stage, for the best views of this show.
Spots inside George S. and Dolores Dore Eccles Theater are starting at $89. Be sure to click the "Buy Tickets" link immediately because at those rates, they might not last long.
